Macy’s “Glamorama” brings fashion, fantasy, music and magic to downtown L.A

Grammy Award Winning Singer and the event’s main performer, Macy Gray stopped by for a “style chat” and described her style as “fabulous hippie”.

Macy’s Passport Presents Glamorama took over downtown L.A and brought out VIPs and celebrities for a good cause. Just as in years past, Macy’s was able to continue their commitment to being a leading supporter of AIDS beneficiaries by donating nearly $1million dollars in support of APLA and Project Angel Food. The event was a well thought out combination of fashion, fantasy, music and magic. “So you think you can dance” choreographer Brian Freidman seamlessly wove intricate and elaborate dance routines into the show’s presentation.

Choreographer, Brian Friedman promised variety and delivered with a smooth integration of contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, and modern choreography for the event’s dance sets.

Sara also mentioned her excitement for high-waisted skirts this Fall and the use of shocking green which compliments her red hair.

Up next for Sara is a show she’s hosting for the CW which will start airing in January and a movie set and filmed in downtown L.A currently titled “Dorfman”.

America’s Next Top Model Season 14 runner-up Raina Hein who was charged with wearing the Office Max (sponsor of Macy’s Glamorama) dress also stopped by to chat about her style, which she admits has gone from super casual to chic.

Model, Raina mentioned that her dream clients include Balenciaga, Michael Kors and Gucci. When it comes to Fall fashion, she can’t wait to show off some chic platform boots.

So you think you can dance choreographer Brian Friedman willingly admits that although he’s been on several “worst dressed” lists, he’s very comfortable with his “eclectic, boundless and risky” style.
