Jennifer Lawrence in red Dior
After Jennifer Lawrence’s full Dior ball gown last year, it was nice to see her in something more streamlined and elegant this year at the Academy Awards. Eschewing the night’s trending nude color palette, the Best Actress winner went for a popping red Dior number with an almost peplum finish. Another actress that went with the minimalist look was Jennifer’s co-star and fellow nominee, Amy Adams. She opted for a navy blue Gucci Prèmiere number and although this dress would have worked for numerous red carpet events, we would have loved to see Amy in a more dazzling dress tonight. She is favored to win after all.
