I have never met a woman who didn’t get starry eyed and weak kneed in the presence of an Oscar de la Renta dress. My first experience with the man whose clothes epitomized elegance, grace and beauty was through the pages of vogue at the tender age of 15. Even though I was just developing my sense of style, there was no doubt in my mind that the Oscar woman resonated with the woman that I dreamt of growing into . She was bold yet romantic, powerful yet chic. She put herself together in a way that showed thought. She carried herself with an effortless grace that could stop an entire room.
