Celebrate 4th of July in style – 4 simple tips to keep you chic this holiday week

As we approach 4th of July this year, many of you will be attending various events through out the week commemorating independence day. When it comes to fashion, celebrating our nation in style should be easy, fuss-free and definitely uncomplicated. Here are a few tips to help you do just that.

1. Go Nautical Chic – You can incorporate red, white and blue in ways that look effortless. Nautical pieces are a great way to do this. Go for stripes, white is a cool must, sailor shorts are playful and a linen navy blue button down is relaxed but chic.

2. Casual Chic is underrated – You can be casual yet beautiful. Whether you’re attending a barbecue, heading to the beach for fireworks or hanging out in a friend’s backyard, your comfort should always take priority. Pair a whimsical polka dot halter dress with some Converse high-tops or try a printed, light weight racer-back tank with a pleated pastel-hued maxi skirt. You’ll look beautiful, effortless and most importantly, you’ll be comfortable.

3. Color block to perfection – Red, white and blue are actually perfect colors to color block with. For a dressy night out, try a red romper with a pair of cobalt blue peep toes. If you’re not sure how to coordinate a seamless look with these colors, opt for a pre-blocked piece.

4. Step outside of the box – Summer is the perfect time to step out in gorgeous colors. So far, this season has been filled with beautiful pastels and shocking hues. You can go soft and feminine in lavender and mint green or make a bold statement in blood orange, fuchsia and marigold. For a super funky look, try out a flowy water color print dress or a floral print romper with a statement necklace.
